Winter Games come to Clintonville Woman’s Club
The Clintonville Woman’s Club is getting a bit of a jump on the upcoming Winter Olympics with its own version of the Winter Games throughout January and February.
The clubhouse, 3951 N. High St., is the perfect venue for those looking to play games to help chase away the winter blues. The Clintonville Woman’s Club is inviting women throughout the community to join club members in playing the various games available — canasta, bridge, Mah Jongg, euchre, and puzzles and logic.

“We provide a fun, welcoming venue not just for members, but any woman who enjoys playing cards or any of the games we offer,” said Shirley Palumbo, co-chair of the club’s publicity committee.
Stop in any of the following dates, no RSVP required:
-
Mah Jongg — 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays

-
Canasta — 1 p.m. on second, third and fourth Thursdays

And for those whose game is Bingo, check out Chili Bingo at the club on Sunday, Jan. 25, open to the public. For $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under, Clintonville residents can come to the club from 4 to 6 p.m. for a bowl of chili, hot dogs, cookies and a beverage, before testing their skills at Bingo. Tickets can be purchased at the club’s website or at the door. Add $1 per ticket for those purchased online.
“Come check out the fun,” Palumbo said.
As a reminder, if the Columbus City Schools are closed due to weather, activities are cancelled at the Clintonville Woman’s Club as well.
